The float will be installed seasonally, and towed to a location that is approximately 12 fathoms of water. The float was manufactured by Bellingham Marine Industries and is a 7-ton concrete break water float. This proposal is classified as a Substantial Development and Secondary Use Permit per the Jefferson County Shoreline Master Program. In addition, the proposal is subject to the State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA). The optional DNS was utilized and the comment period for SEPA expired on May 23, 2003.
