The device will be inspected by the PUD and it will need to be tested by the dock owners annually with the report submitted to the PUD. It was determined during evaluation of the sewer pump out facility which was permitted to pump to holding tanks approved under SEP1996-354 has been reconfigured; the holding tanks have been abandoned and the marina pump out is now pumping to the WSDOH approved JEF017 Large On Site Septic system. It was also determined that this reconfiguration was not approved by DOH.
PRIOR to final approval for use of the dock the current arrangement for the sewer discharge must either be approved by WSDOH and the holding tanks decommissioned in accordance with requirements OR the pump out facility must be reconnected to the holding tanks (SEP1996-354). Site inspection and verification that the alarm system and tanks are adeuate will be required by a licensed septic designer and our office. A fee will be required for that inspection.
