Description | | Proposal for an after the fact, Shoreline Conditional Use Administrative Permit (Type II) for a previously constructed beach access structure and walkway platform, and the lateral expansion of a previously constructed 6 foot tall privacy fence within the standard shoreline buffer, as regulated by the Shoreline Master Program Chapter 18.25 of the Jefferson County Code (JCC). The beach access structure currently exists on the NE corner of the property, and consists of wooden decking with stairs that terminate on existing rocks at the shoreline, above the Ordinary High Water Mark. The existing fence extends to the shoreline. The section of the fence that extends waterward beyond the lateral edge/ northern most point of the existing residence will be removed. The existing beach access structure walkway platform will be reduced to a width of no more than 5 feet wide. A No Net Loss and Mitigation Plan has been submitted with the application materials, along with an addendum to an existing Geotechnical Report. The project takes place entirely above the Ordinary High Water Mark (OHWM) and is SEPA exempt in accordance with WAC 197-11-800(1)(a)(i). Final authority for shoreline conditional use permit decisions rests with the Washington State Department of Ecology.
