New information from WA Dept. of Fish and Wildlife, regarding the Big Quilcene Bald Eagle Roost Complex, was submitted to the Development Review Division on May 15, 1997. This information indicates that bald eagles, a protected species, utilize the area of the subject property during Fall and Winter months for feeding and roosting purposes. Established bald eagle roost sites are considered a priorty habitat and, as such, are a critical area. Based on this new information, the shoreline exemption will be conditioned appropriately.
