Soil testpits on proposed lots 7,8,9 and 13 showed distinct mottling at depths less than 18" indicating a probable seasonal water table shallow enough to make installation of onsite sewage systems difficult to impossible. In accordance with Health Department Policy #93-01, a wet season evaluation shall be required prior to issuing a preliminary approval. A wet season application form can be obtained at the permit center. Fees are $144 for the first lot and $25 for each additional lot. An application must be submitted prior to January 15, 1997 to have an evaluation completed this season. No soil test pits were provided for lots 6 and 10 therefore we are not able to comment on these lots at this time.

Prior to preliminary approval a wet season evaluation shall be commpleted for lots 7,8,9,and 13 and test pits prepared for lots 6 and 10. The results of the wet season evaluation and test pits must demonstrate sufficient area of suitable soils for onsite sewage systems. Alternatively additional test pits may be prepared or offsite sewage systems developed with appropriate easements.
