Title: C-PWD, EMERGENCY ACCESS

Title: C-PWD, ROAD DESIGN
Wording Based on AASHTO guidelines, the design standard for roadway with less than 40 ADT is 22-feet (an 18-foot wide traveled way with 2-foot wide shoulders). The design standard for a roadway with 400-1,500 ADT is 30-feet (a 20-foot wide traveled way with 5-foot wide shoulders). A 22-foot wide roadway is adequate to serve the first phase of the development. Depending on the type of development and traffic generation, subsequent development phases may require a 30-foot wide road.

Title: C-PWD, SIDEWALK
Wording Construction of the access road also requires construction of a 5-foot wide sidwalk to be linked to the sidewalks on Chimacum Road.

Title: C-PWD, PARKING LOT
Wording Parking lot entrances shall intersect the access road at as close a 90 degree angle as feasible.

Title: C-PWD, EMERGENCY VEHICLES

The Unified Development Code requires proponents of developments that meet these criteria to implement a Stormwater Site Plan that includes a Large Parcel Erosion Control Plan and a Permanent Stormwater Quality Control Plan. The Stormwater Site Plan shall comply with Minimum Requirements #1-10 from the Washington Department of Ecology Stormwater Management Manual for the Puget Sound Basin. A Stormwater Site Plan that meets these requirements shall be submitted to the Jefferson County Department of Public Works for review and approval prior to commencing land disturbing activity.

Title: C-DPW, STORMWATER MGMT
Wording In order to meet the requirements of the Washington Department of Ecology Stormwater Management Manual for the Puget Sound Basin and to ensure that the appoved stormwater management facilities are appropriately maintained for the life of the project, Jefferson County requires the proponent to enter into a Stormwater Management Facility Maintenance Agreement with the county. After construction has been completed, the Department will send the proponent a copy of the Agreement that has been signed by the Public Works Director. The Department cannot give final approval for the project until the Agreement has been signed and filed with the Jefferson County Auditor.

Title: C-DPW, STORMWATER
Wording After construction is complete, the proponent shall submit a letter from the project engineer certifying that the stormwater management facilities have been constructed as per the approved plans. The Department cannot give final approval for the project until this certification has been received.

Title: C-DPW, CONSTRUCTION PLANS
Wording Construction of roads, stormwater facilities, and/or land disturbing activities requires that the applicant submit plans for review by the Deparmtent of Public Works. The applicant shall request inspections by the Department of Public Works during various phases of construction. Typically the following inspections are required: a. Installation of temporary erosion and sediment control measures; b. Clearing and road subgrade preparation; c. Application of gravel base; d. Application of crushed surfacing top course; e.
